2025 hs phev front parking sensors

Just pucked up new 2025 hs phev - really pleased, just one observation, I'm sure when we picked it up the front parking sensors automatically activated when in close proximity to an obstacle at the front of the car ie: when parking against a wall. Now the front parking sensors only seem to activate when reverse is engaged.
Not sure if we have deactivated something by mistake.... any ideas???

In my 22 phev info screen there are options for the sensors, I found it annoying when it kept popping up and beeping when in traffic or stopping at traffic lights with a car in front.

On the 2025 HS Trophy PHEV, the front sensors only activate when you engage reverse. A bit strange but you get used to it. Stop, snick it into reverse as you get close to something and they work. I can't recall if they activate if you switch on the 360° camera on the dash. I'll try it.

You can also slide down the main screen, which brings up another menu, and just select “Parking Radar” and that also turns it on.
Like you, I also find it a bit strange, but only because for the last 10 years, it was always on, on my previous car. I am not in any doubt that I will get used to it.
The one thing that really gets me is the over sensitive warning bongs for keeping focus on the road.

Thanks for the reply, i thought the front sensors came on when i was in reverse, doesnt really help when parking head on into a bay !! sure we'll get used to it.

Activated the "Parking Radar" this morning but it has to be done each time you switch on. Will stick to having to go into reverse to activate, seems a bit Irish to me but like other users will get use to it, shame realy it spoils what is a generally a nice car.

i've noticed that it deactivates once you reach a certain speed. need to activate again if forward parking.

Unfortunately that is what happens. I really wish it could just be switched on and left on.

I have the same issue with mine. I picked mine up in June. The local dealer says everything is working!
I can turn them on with the drop down menu, but they keep turning off. Again mine work fine in reverse.

Unfortunately this is how it has to be done on this model, Reverse gear first then it works. Either that or swipe down on the infotainment screen to "parking radar" but even then that's not tied to work. As others have said on this issue just something we will have to get use to.
