Hi There again. When I picked car up a few weeks ago it was showing full charge at 265mls and the first time I charged it with 100mls left it went to 265 100%. I have had a few charges to 80% giving me 194mls, but went to give it 100% for a slightly longer trip and it only gets to 231mls and has done this twice.

I am using a Zappi 2 7kW charger and the ambient temp was 5°C last night.

Am new to all electric after having a HS PHEV so have to ask is this right.

Ta.

The range is a prediction based upon how the car has performed with you behind the wheel.
Keep an eye on the miles/kWh figure during/at end of journey; a reading of (say) 4mls/kWh is obviously better than 3.

I hope this helps.

The range shown by the GOM (Guess 'o' meter) is based on the historic amount of miles per kWh the car has used. This is affected by how you've driven the car, if you've used the heating, and the ambient weather conditions.

Sounds about right in the cold and if you have been doing some inefficient journeys recently (short, heating on etc.)

Remember that it's just a guess, it's not what the car will actually do if you decide to do a long journey.

I notice there is a battery warming feature, I have heard that pre warming the battery just before you charge helps. Is this true?

It'll help speed up charging on a fast charger if it's cold and if you are short of time. Most of the time it's not worth it as it uses the equivalent of about 35 miles of range to pre-heat the battery.
