Been doing a lot of non-standard charging as away from home at the moment.

Normally just plug the Zappi in and it charges at the expected 7kw.

As I'm using more of the public network for a change I've been interested in the charging rates for the various bits of infrastructure I've been using.

Looked in the manuals, both car version and app but can't find anything about the 'AC Current' selection on the charging page - figure you can limit current draw for grid/supply capacity issues.

So TL: DR - what's the 'AC Current' settings (8A, 16A, 32A I think) actually for?

I used this over the weekend on a campsite. If the car did max the trip went, so reducing to 8 amps pulled slower and didn’t trip. If you have a you can basically plug in anywhere and throttle it back for smaller cables.

I use the lower amp setting if charging at friends using the granny charger as I don’t want to stress their electrics and do a slow charge over night.
