Has anyone had a problem with the AC thermostat? Recently the internal temperature has been reading far higher than the actual temperature which has resulted in the AC running very cold even when set high.

I’ve attached a picture. The top right temp is showing 28 degrees C when the true temp outside was 12.5 degrees C. Even with the AC set at 25 degrees C it was blowing cold.

Does the internal temp impact the temp of the AC? And is it a trip to the dealer or can it be reset?

Thanks.

I had it happened once few weeks ago. It showed 41 celsius on the top right of the infotainment while it was 16 celsius outside. I was at a fast charger and the car was pointed toward the sun. I had the same theory though about the reason why the AC misbehave.

The reading at the top right is the external temperature, and the one at the top middle is the target internal temperature.

Thanks for the correction. In that case, the top left value for me was 41 celsius with the climate set to 24 and external real temp was 16. So the car thought it needs to rapidly cool us inside 😀

Check out a thread from @Bricktop X PWR ... he had a faulty external sensor which had to be replaced under warranty. (His external temp started rising and ended up at 80+ degrees eventually, I think).
