Bit of a warning, but if a cyclist is cycling on the far left (or presumably right in other jurisdictions) of a lane, the ACC doesn't recognise them as being in front of the car but in an adjacent lane so it doesn't slow down. If the cyclist is cycling to the middle of the lane, then it slows. So if you cycle regularly, make sure you hog the centre of the lane so these systems notice you (good practice anyway), and if you are driving, then slow down manually when you see a cyclist.

Or, do not use ACC where its not appropriate to do so.
Mmm - so don't use it on a motorway then?
The same issue occurs with motorcyclists who hog the very outside or inside of a lane - ACC can falsely place them in an adjacent lane.
