Went for a bit of a trip today, up to Ipswich and back home.

Generally am liking the Xpower.

One thing did stand out though, the ACC is not as good as other systems I have used. A couple of times it suddenly decelerated due to a car approaching in the other lane. Then there is the drop in speed when cornering. In my old car I was used to 3 or 4 kph drop in a corner, if it was quite a change of angle. This seems to lose about 8-10kph on the same sort of bend. On the divided road following another car it works quite well.

Is this normal operation or is something wrong?

I think some of the UK owners have noted a change in the "drop speed in a corner" behaviour after some system updates, but I wouldn't be able to tell you the versions, and I'm pretty sure our Aussie cars are on their own software branch anyway. (although maybe not in case of the Xpower?)

I have a regular trophy bit the ACC whilst better than it was still struggles to deal with corners and overtaking vehicles. It also is a bit heavy in adjusting to attaching a slower vehicle. I tend to use it for short periods and switch back to manual control when it gets annoying. A minor disappointment

Since an update my ACC no longer slows down around corners that it used to. Otherwise it is still too rough to use when it gets busy. It slows down far to heavily, waits to speed up again then does that quite enthusiastically! I still use it on motorways if the traffic is light or flowing steadily but turn it off when it starts to get busier. I'd love it to be a bit smoother. I only ever use TJA in stop start traffic.

I find ACC handy around town as it helps me to stick to the speed limits. On motorways I compensate for the chunky speed adjustments by using the accelerator when/if I have to pull out to pass slower traffic. Again, using ACC on motorways helps me to maintain a sensible speed (no more than 70 MPH, honest officer!). For ages I was blaming LKA for making me wrestle with the steerting, until I realised that I'd held the button down and activated TJA. Once I learned how to tell the difference my world became a happier place
