Before I decide to consider a test drive in MG4….
I currently have ZS mk1 which is an ideal height for access. Is the MG4 as accessible or is it more of a saloon and lower down?
Being a senior citizen I don’t want to book a test drive if it is too low

If the dealer is not too far away, check one out in the showroom before you book a test drive.
It is lower, but you would have to try it to see if it's too low for you. It's not as low as my Prius was.

I agree with @Kithmo I think it's something you need to try for yourself.
We had the ZS EV Gen 1 for two years and 20,000 miles ( moved from a VW golf PHEV ) then upgraded to the Gen 2 facelift in March 2022.
I should say right now, that I have not tried the MG4 myself for two main reasons.
1 ) Our ZS EV LR is only six months old and we are very luck to have it.
2 ) As OAP's with mobility issues, the higher ride height of the ZS simply offers better access
both in and out of the car, over a lower ride hatchback.
I could have sold our Gen 2 ZS EV and gone for the MG4 and saved some cash in the process I believe.
But I am thinking with my head here and not with my heart .
My days of driving a low ride hatchback have well and truly gone now !.
A close relative, who is also ZS EV Gen1 owner ( still awaiting his Gen 2 model ) has tried the MG4 at our local dealer, but said that the car is a lot lower than the ZS EV and that the door cill's are both high and wide.
He said using the car on a daily basis would become a struggle to get in and more difficult getting out of.
Just recall the reason WHY your bought the higher ride height of the ZS EV in the first place ?.
If the ride height of the ZS EV suits your needs, then I think you will find a similar condition as my brother with the MG4.
Again - You need to try for yourself, think more of the ride height of the MG4 like a ID3 or a VW Golf I would suggest.
Interested to hear what you think yourself ?.

We visited the dealer today, took SWMBO's 5 in for its second service and had a sit in the MG4 SE.
The cloth seats were very comfy and I'd say the height is about the same as her MG5.
She has Rheumatoid Arthritis and she had no problem getting in and out.

I decided against the MG5 and got the ZS, mainly because getting into the rear seats is very difficult.
