Hi everyone, first post here.
Does someone had experience with an "active sound booster " ? From some brands like: Kufatec, Thor-tunning, Maxhaust, etc ?
It is a add-on system who generates "sport engine sound" for cars. I want to put one in my car. Thanks.

Many years ago my second car a Mk2 Cortina dropped the rear box so I found some 2inch pipe in my fathers garage and wedged that in place, it sounded really sporty, lasted about a month before it drove me mad and I could save up for a replacement. Funny how back in the day you were pleased if an exhaust lasted more than year and 2 or 3 punctures a year seemed to be the norm.

I unfortunately agree with others, why buy an EV and then want exhaust sounds. I personally went from loud Audi to silence of an EV and haven’t looked back once

Hi, so I have the kit. I need to find some wires ( can high and low, ign +). I think I know where ( in the fuse box under the hood) but I can't identify the specific wire colors. Can someone with some knowledge help me ? Thanks.

One of the manuals there may be of use, such as the Circuit Diagrams and/or Wiring Diagrams. :)
Yes, i found it on this forum, I think I know what wire, I need to figure out where exactly and how.

So, I will make an obd plug for the 2 canbus wires, and wire the + and - to the fuse box.
If anyone have some advice, please feel free to speak. Thanks.

Well, I am a bit stuck. I need to find a way to connect my + to a "switch on" + (when the car is on ready). For a 10A. I only found some always on +. I look everywhere on the wiring doc, nothing. BTW the doc is for right driving. I can't find the "passenger fusebox " either. Please help.

I suggest you search for MG4 Fuse Boxes on YouTube, there is at least 1 video on there showing you where it is and how (fiddly it is) to access it.
Thanks, i didn't think of that. I am looking right now.

I just watched this video about wiring a dash-cam, you can find the 2 fuses ( and how to access the fuse-box) which are switched 12V ( not permanent ). Very useful.

I put a Cherry bomb in place of the middle box and a pancake air filter on my Mk2 Cortina sounded great bombing around locally. The first time I went on a longer run to the coast, the booming of the exhaust and the constant choking sound of the filter gave me a headache, needless to say I took them both off and reverted back to standard when I got back.

Well.... not yet. I postponed this project for now. Life got in the way. But I am thinking about it. I tried with a technician from the manufacturer on what's app; but when I put the car on "ready" the power cuts for a micro second witch resets the sound device. Very annoying. I will come back to this but not now. I am moving to a new house....
