Aftermarket Wheels

Not heard of this before, what printer are you using, and where did you get the build plate?
Printer is a Bambu P1P
There's quite effects sheets now regular plain and textured to carbon, holographic stars etc.
I got mine from Amazon
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CJ2H1BSJ

Some work better than others, but so far I've used PLA, PETG and TPU on this one and they’ve all come out great

I toyed with the idea of black wheels and did a few 'photoshop' mock ups of how it would look with black wheels and various coloured calipers.
I was also tempted by the caliper covers you can get (MGTitan etc) but haven't seen a good picture of exactly how they'll fit.

If I'm 100% honest, the wheel paint wasn't as dark as I expected, but I'm really happy how they’ve turned out. Also have the option of a clearcoat to give them a glossy look, but I'll leave them as is for now.

Think the wheel colour is excellent.
Personally don't like Black wheels at all, but that's just me. It's your motor. 🙂👍

Thanks, found similar for my model printer. I see there are many options for build plates with different first layer finishes. All sorts of different effects.

I've been a little busy with my '4' today.
I've been running without the aero covers for a couple of months to see what difference it makes to range and I'd say negligible so.....
After giving it a quick wash I set about painting the brake calipers and painting the stock wheels.

The bolt covers and centre caps I designed and printed myself in TPU. The carbon look is achieved with a carbon effects build plate so any filament picks up the pattern on the first layer.

The paint is E-Tech from Amazon, Sky blue brush on for the calipers and PRO Bavarian Dark Anthracite spray for the wheels.

That really is lovely. Do you take commissions?

I have black rims on my winter tyres and it fits the XPower at least quite nicely:

It requires applying tyre gel on the tyres though to keep them black too😀
