This is pretty sexy I think.

Special in a way the X Power isn't.

(Ooo, Controversial Bricktop!)

No, hear me out....

I love the way the wheels fit the arches.
Proper performance brake caliper set up.
Beautiful interior with quality materials.

Looks like a nice place to be.

Great styling. Properly Hot Hatchy.

And therin lies the problem....

Not really very quick is it?

Quite a lot of mouth but with very little in the trouser department.

220bhp 0 to 60 in 6.4 seconds.

Yawn.

It will also be too expensive by a country mile compared to the X Power.

No.

Always on the look out for the next thing tbh, but I reckon that performance per pound factored in, the X Power is still impossible to beat.

Now, when is that BYD lookalikeee coming out.....and for that matter, the 2025 X Power facelift?

My thoughts exactly .... it needed to be a baby Ioniq 5 N with at least a 4s'ish 0-60mph ?

Just a sheep in wolfs clothng ... I prefer it the other way round ?

Now imagine that....
I really like the 5N.

All that engineering and power in a package the size of the X Power would be unbeatable.

Have you stood next to one?

They're bloody massive!

Down to 54 already..........

Won't be long now.....?

Then there's always it's Kia cousin for £39,000 ..... still depreciating like hell (£11,000 in 8 months just doing nothing). I guess the 5N launch hasn't helped values :-

The nearly new market has some belting cars but the whole luxury car tax will make me seriously considering my next purchase, I have no issues whatsoever with paying £190 a year road tax, I think electric cars should, but I will not be happy paying over £500 for any car originally over the £40k odd threshold, that is an awful lot of normal ev's.

Let's face it, due to inflation etc. nearly all desirable cars will be above the £40k threshold soon and I don't see the Government raising this threshold anytime soon.

However leasing deals as a result are an absolute bargain, and you don't pay for the VED with a personal lease, so that is the way I'm going to go in the future on a new car.

I'd be quite happy with a brand new VW ID7 Match Pro 77kWh for £263 a month for two years and no VED payments then just hand it back with no depreciation worries.
