Android auto , phone does not connect

I got my AAWireless unit about two weeks back and it works perfectly every time.

Just start up the the car and within 10 seconds, Android Auto is running.

Hadn't used AA before that.

Any chance of a make, model or link please? It would be nice to know something works.

The wireless unit is AAWireless. I leave it permanently plugged in and it sits nicely in the passenger side 'slot' in the console.

I initially used a Motorola Moto G8 with no issues but changed that (for unrelated reasons) late last week for a Google Pixel 5.

That also works great and having now used AA on a weekend trip to Birmingham and back, being able to use Google Maps / Waze and a decent phone application rather than the built-in one was very nice.

I have a Samsung S10 and it will happily play Spotify wireless and when plugged in Android Auto does work fine but sometimes I have to unplug it from my phone and plug it back in.

For some reason sometimes it won't work when I first plug it in, but always works second and never disconnects until I unplug.

Switch off USB debugging in Developer options (if you have enabled that on your phone). Also check "Direct" option iso "MTP"
