I have been so impressed with the wife’s MG4 and totally converted to EV driving that I am thinking of buying the 422bhp MG4 when it comes out.
As of August I will be able to opt out of the company car and get my own and was hoping it wouldn’t be too long after that the 422bhp would be out.
I had a good rummage on the inter web but cannot find anything that highlights anything about its release date.

Wondering if anyone else knows something????

Someone posted that in the last week there was apparently one in the UK and their dealer had see it, confirmed alot of the upgrades in terms of seats alloys brakes etc but apparently the glass roof wasn't there

On Monday, my dealer also confirmed he'd seen one at HQ last week.
He mentioned alcantara in the interior trim, and that launch was scheduled for late May or early June.

Interesting stuff, I spoke to my local dealer (Crewe) a month or two ago and asked to be put in the queue for an order as and when it becomes a reality. I suspect they’re going to be super popular when they hit so I’d like to be toward the front (for better or worse)
Where are the dealers located that’ve seen them so far? No idea if mine is a good one/close to MG at all but figured it’s easier to go local than travel for a specialist one.

Mine was Mike Loyden at Gallagher's of Sandycroft. Don't know if anyone at the Cheshire Oaks dealership went.

Got to have a go in one of these, hard to imagine my car with 2.5 times the power.

Probably couldn't stretch to a new one but there will likely be many crashed repairables coming on to the market in the coming years, good weekend project.

Now to play the waiting game.........:devilish:

whoa whoa whoa, no vultures circling the maternity ward. 🤣 Give us SOME chance to enjoy (even though you are very correct, you don’t need to rub it in :p )

I’ve driven an electric BMW with over 500bhp, one of my oldest friends works for BMW.
I have a video of us giggling like fools at how fast it accelerates.
Obviously I’m biased and don’t trust MG to make a success of a high performance car, but no doubt that sort of power is addictive and I can see why you would want that power cheaply.

Resurrecting this thread to see if anyone has heard anything new. I’ve been searching around and keeping an eye out on YT and such but I know some things get heard from dealers and such so just checking the jungle drums :)

Dealership I spoke to recently said no pictures could be taken when it was seen at MG HQ recently - As they were doing the Press Release etc etc - Seems that they are focusing at the mo on the Cyber ..

But Wheels / Calipers are confirmed on multiple sources as upgraded - Nothing mentioned re seats / upholstery etc

Stuff I've seen and heard spoke about mentions alcantara sports seats and steering wheel

Bigger wheels really set it off and the seats (style upholstery etc) are a definite step up in class.

This link was posted on an older thread

In Chinese but shows the seats and steering wheel and the ridiculous acceleration!! Also doesn't show the glass roof as some early pictures did.

It looks pretty amazing. I found myself watching the whole video, with the sound on even though I couldn't understand a word, apart from 'wow' when the car took off

That 0-100kmh sprint was ridiculous. Geezer looked like he wasn't expecting it at all.

I just watched, and listened to it. It seemed to me that the car was continuously "bonging" at him!

The fact that it starting screeching for grip about 50kmh 30mph shows how much power is going through the wheels, I was thinking that might have been when the second motor, for the front wheels, kicked in

I wonder if they are holding off on releasing it until all the niggles with the SE's and Trophy are ironed out and a stable software mix is found.
They would definitely be looking for a niggle free car for over £40k
