App tyre pressure readings.

I manage to park in broken glass and doesn’t look like I got a flat but I am curious if the app tyre pressure readings are accurate when the car is off. Ie can I monitor it through the app.

Does anyone know?

As far as I know, the app will give you the last reading it had before you turned the car off. In any case, you have to drive maybe a quarter of a mile or more before the system will register a change in pressure, so it's not good for spotting a blow-out, or for registering a tyre that went flat while the car was parked.

Yeah I thought that might be the case. Fingers crossed I will be ok.

You could always use a manual tyre pressure gauge to check before you drive off.

Yeah I carry a battery pump in the car for emergencies with a gauge.

It was more could I monitor over the evening and see if it was going flat.

We went out for a walk and I used the very accurate kick the tyre test and it looks fine

The first warning is the bottom part is flat, the "on the road warning" is catching sight of the tyre case heading off on its own way as the alloy rim destroys itself on the road surface ..... best to catch it at the flat on the bottom stage .....
