Australian ZS EV 2022+ Maps and Software versions - What does everyone have?

Thanks for your reply, just cements my feel that MG AU/ZN just don't give a dam about their users and even after supplying them the evidence, they can't be bothered to follow it up.

Even after proving to my local dealer that the updates don't work, his parting comment was that "this is MG's so i can't do anything else" , what a load of crap.

My original nav does not work so I will try that link on mine and let you know how it goes.

Caveat - the MG4/ZS links talk about the refreshed model ZS that we don't have in Australia - the MCE.

Looks like the 2024 ZS MCE and MG4 have identical software, whereas the MG ZS from 2022+ in Australia has something else... but, I guess you'll find out!

Haven't tried it yet, was busy having my poppa nap .

The earlier ZS (Gen1) has the 9" screen and you use the NaviEExtra methhod to update the map, placing a blank USB into USB-A port, the head unit writes data to the USB which includes details about the HU that pertains to only your unit, probably the HU serial number.

In 2022-2023 they went to the Gen2 which has the 10.0" flat screen so if this is what is in the MG4 I would guess it is the same unit so there is a good chance the maps will work as long as they are for this region.

Well, that was easy, I now have it working again on this version "
23Q4_ANZ_20240115233205 1176101301" so I now longer have a brick to navigate with.

Now to try and get some newer maps, a quick search seems to indicate there are no newer maps that 23Q4 which is newer than the maps you listed in you opening post -

If I was you, I would do as I have done, they are 2 years newer that what you have.

Mind you, it has kept me amused.

I updated already - super fast, and now I have 3d models of certain buildings in my town.

How wonderful!

Now, if I could only remove the tone that plays everytime you enter a new suburb...

I wonder if I can request newer maps in that thread... There seems to be a way to update the infotainment unit and other such things in there, though they might require some cheap hardware and a small outlet for time on the MG servers.

Would be great to know if there are other Australian MG ZS EV drivers on the facelifted model and what their software versions are (post a recent service).
