I find the auto hold a bit irritating - you have to press on the brake pedal more than in the Skoda for it to engage. Skoda had it pretty much spot on, whereas in the MG I often lift off and it starts creeping forwards. It's not as safe imo.

On this car you have to depress the auto hold button on the centre console first and then press the brake pedal right down. It works fine.
You misunderstand. I know how to turn it on. I think having to press the brake down so far is not as good as the Skoda system.

I personally love it, I dont find I have press down "hard" for it to activate i just brake normal to a stop then the parking brake light comes on on the dash then I just rest my foot on the accelerator pedal ready for the off. It's a great feature to have. I've noticed recently at traffic lights that while on auto hold and my foot resting on the accelerator pedal I could see from the car behind reflection of my brake lights on which I wasn't aware, I thought when foot is taken off the brake the lights would go off but not until you set off again which I'm impressed with.
