I own an MG 4 Trophy from The Netherlands and was wondering when/how you can see an indication that batteries are balancing immediately after a 100% charge. I recall having once seen a picture from another MG forum where an MG 4 owner showed a picture with the indication 'Balancing' in the entertainment screen after a 100% charge but I never seen it in my car. Maybe because you have to start charging from a certain minimum (10%) up to 100% to see a Balancing indication? Or does the system only shows the balancing action/indication when really needed?

Whilst some people have seen the battery balancing indication on their infotainment screen the simplest way is to monitor the power being supplied to the car. After the car reaches its target level (100% for LFP or as set for NMC batteries) the power drawn by the car drops becomes variable often dropping to below 1kW until, as @decrep said, the port lights go out. This can take a variable amount of time..

I view this from my EVSE app and the monitor linked to my house smart meter.

To see the battery balancing indication the car needs to be kept powered up prior to reaching the balancing point. I've found that if I power up when I believe the car is balancing the car declares charging complete.

Yes, it's as @ martinonline says the EVSE will show the power input pulsing until the balance is complete. I think the app shows charging on the front page with the time to finish showing the current time, while the charging management page shows not charging.
