Battery degradation

Does anyone know why Bjorn adds 4% in his calculation for battery capacity?
His calculation is distance travelled (Km) X efficiency (Wh/Km) / 0.96. I am wondering about the division by 0.96 which adds 4% to the battery size. Is this to allow for cable losses do you think?

this is also an advantage of our mgzs, the faster the battery can charge and the greater the capacity of the battery, the greater the degradation. our battery is not large and does not charge quickly, but it does last a long time 👍👍😊 I had already experienced it myself with my obd2 app. 100% soh after 10000km.

Age is a factor and nice to see that after 2 years no signs of degradation. Interesting if there is a reduction in the top or bottom buffer, but considering the largest drop is typically in the first year then those results are certainly heartening.
