I bought an MG HS Trophy PHEV in June this year. It failed on me three times in the first 30 days through battery drain when parked overnight. Dealer assured me it was a 'known problem' and kept it for 10 days to update software, which they had difficulty with. On 26 December the same issue cropped up. I put the car on charge on 25 December, late at night and had problems getting it to start charging but eventually it did. When I came to start it on 26 December, the battery was flat again. MG Assistance came out, couldn't find a fault but at least got it started.
Has anyone else had similar issues? I'm starting the process of rejecting the car under UK Consumer Law, since the dealer had a chance to fix the original '30 day or less' issue and it clearly is still not right.
