I have a ZS EV long range. It has a battery preheat function which I can switch on but it goes off when the car is turned off. Fine as saves range. Cannot find how to switch on via the app and car plugged in To warm batteries to assist charging and range. Any ideas please.

Don't worry about the battery heater unless you're on your way to a DC charger and it's cold out rest of the time it looks after itself you can override it to on with the app but car needs to be charging and it has to be cold enough

Hi similar question please
does battery warming draw power from HV or 12 v battery?
what are the benefits of having it on?
thanks

Draws from the HV (it takes a fair amount of energy). Increases the speed of charging at rapid chargers, and I think may give you better range? If your battery is cold and you start a charge at a rapid charger it does seem to heat the battery as well (not just as a bi product of the rapid charge, but actually turns the heater on).

Thanks v much.
I rarely use a rapid charger. Almost always charge at home, Podpoint 7KW.
do your comments apply the same?

No, I think my reply only applies to rapid chargers where you can take advantage of the speed with a warm battery. You can turn on the battery heater on fast 7kw chargers though, advantagous whilst you are charging when its cold and you are doing long journeys, but I doubt for short journeys.
