Binding nuisance

My phone doesn't recognise my car to bind it. What to do?

Try the search facility top right...just enter bind and select this forum. Also look at hints and tips Binding Car

Assume account set up on app. QR code showing in car etc.

QR code comes up in the car but my phone app won't read it. It happily reads my Tesco order!!!

Are you using the MG app to read it? Also you might need to ensure the in car setting is set to light rather than dark/auto

Yes using the MG app. Will look at setting to light in car., another new trick on this mobile computer!

Yep, just one big Windows PC that needs a lot of tweaking and restarting at times!

It turned out that my salesman gave me misleading instructions. What I was missing is that when I selected the 'Connect vehicle' button I thought that the resulting screen was simply to document the three step process and only displaying the two QR codes by way of illustration. These are not 'dummy' QR codes but the actual ones that need to be scanned,

That first QR code is for downloading the app ... the 2nd one is for binding.
