No QR Code to Bind the phone.

My MG 4 long range. When I bind the phone to the car it says ' This operation is not available, please try later. ' ?? I can't get past this.

Is it a new car? Is it currently bound to a previous owner?

It is a new car 4 weeks old.I don't know if its bound to someone else. I am the first owner from the dealer.

Was it a dealer demonstrator car? If yes then it may have been bound to one of the salespeople's account.

If it was in someone else's name the app does not give me the opportunity to unbind it.

It's worth contacting the supplying Dealer and ask if your car is bound to one of their salespeople's phone, alternatively I'm sure there's a 'Force Unbind' option somewhere, but I can't remember where.

As per @MG Clive there should be a Force Unbind option somewhere, but I'm not sure where. If you can find it and use it, this sends a request to MG .. they then give the original account 72 hours to respond/challenge the unbind request, then do the unbind on their end (if no challenge or response).

It could be the servers are down for some reason, and it'll work again later. Or perhaps you're car is failing to connect to the servers because it's in a 4G dead spot, or parked underground or something? I think you can connect your car to your home wi-fi (or hotspot on your phone), that may be worth trying.

There is no option to connect to WiFi or hotspot as I can see.

MG4 Long Range .. which exact model? (You've posted in the MG4 EV (2022 to 2025) Forum, so I presume yours is not a new 2026 model. As such the Long Range versions were SE LR and Trophy LR .. Trophy spec supports WiFi hotspot connection; SE doesn't).

It's an SE so it doesn't have WiFi. We are back to square one.

If I sit in my car (SE SR) and press the Settings cog, scroll down to Binding and press it, then press the Bind Vehicle button I am presented with 2 buttons .. Bind Vehicle and Remove Binding. Are you saying you can't even get that far? If you can, how far can you get? (i.e. where exactly in the process is that previous photo you posted?)

I get to that stage, when I press bind my vehicle, I get that message.

Sounds like a comms problem then, as suggested earlier. It'll either sort itself out, or you'll need to get your dealer to sort it. (Might be a faulty TBox or similar - maybe even just a dislodged antenna lead).
