What is the experience of getting the bodywork repaired?

Are the parts readily available and if not what is the period of delay?

I all depends on the scale & location of the damage & your skills. Otherwise its then an insurance job., so doesn't really matter. In the past I've replaced bolt on panels (in colour - from ebay), with no issues, as soon as you start to need paint, then that is a whole different set of circumstances.

Rear panel of my car was swiped by a truck - a mess - repaired within a week and no trace of the damage at all - I think it was all body repair rather than parts though - just as well as the rear panel is integral to the whole body it seems!

I have damaged one corner of the rear bumper
The repair, through insurance, was initially scheduled for last week, but it delayed by three weeks due to parts from MG taking longer to arrive.
