Or maybe even Riley?

I might be a bit biased. 🤔

BMW came very close to resurrecting the Riley brand as a sporting marque when they bought Rover, but dropped the plan when they realised the trouble that they had got into with the English Patient.

Frankly very few people have ever heard of most of those brands, hence they may as well make up a name. The exception being Triumph and the TR sub-brand which are totally separate to the motorcycles.

The best car I had was the Morgan , wished I never sold it, would have made money too!

The MG4 has the streering wheel from it. :D

No I have to correct/ update that fallacy. Not all Allegos had the earlier model “square” steering wheel. Our 1500 cc estate car had the circular unit, the five speed gearbox and the obligatory factory ignored tin worm. I did like the car though and the 1750cc twin carb version of the Maxi we replaced it with. The dark green Maxi couldn’t mask the worm as well as the deep brown Allegro though 😜

Did they come with 5 sp box then? I think they all came with hydra gas suspension?

Or how about a Wolseley 15/50 which my brother in law allowed me to drive in 2000 when we toured NZ.
Great to see these older machines being converted but needs serious money. Lotto being quite uncooperative I find 🤣

What bets as to whether he finishes it?
It’s quite a task he’s set himself there and everything in his favour looks to be against him. But he’s got the car and seems determined. I enjoyed his travelogue covering many of the roads and the ferry journey that we did. The tech stuff will be interesting.
