Cabin preconditioning

How do I preset the cabin preconditioning in the MG4 Trophy? Thank you

Pretty sure you can only turn on cabin conditioning through the iSmart app, I don't think there is a way to schedule it in advance.

No available method for scheduling a pre-heat session for the cabin. I just turn heating on in the app 10mins before I need to leave and it’s lovely and toasty for when I get in it.

Does it have to be plugged in?

No, it’s a remote connection via mobile phone network and works irrespective of whether car’s plugged-in and/or charging. It does though turn on the lights with it which seems a bit unnecessary

It will work when not plugged in or when plugged in and charging, on some it won't work if it's plugged in and it's finished charging.

There is a way to use the same iSmart account to integrate HomeAssistant and the car. Then you should be able to use automation to say preheat on office days before you drive to work or home. Theoretically, you could also take traffic into account.

I have recently set up that integration with Home Assistant and the app second account. All works well (when the MG servers are responding) and no impact on warranties.
