Sounds like MG are too tight to spend money on the development side to get this working.
I would suggest people comment on their Facebook adverts about how the IM platform lacks this feature when other cars have it. Who knows they might sit up and sort it.

IMO MGUK specifically, take from SAIC whatever MG cars that they sell in in Australia. Given that they are already designed and built in RHD, there is not much needed to make them meet UK type approval.
As I have said many times before undoubtedly fantastic value for money, but you have to accept whatever SAIC developed for the Australia/New Zealand markets.
For example, the MG3 HYBRID wasn't initially due to be sold in the UK, but given how cheap they could sell, it for here, plus the fact Ford dropped the Fiesta, the planners at MG UK saw an opening.
I'm certain that's why the cars came to the UK with OEM tyres that were really only available in Asia and Australia - it was not worth specifying European tyres - it's so cheap why bother!
If you look at the IM range in Australia, and I Googled it before the UK launch, they are identical to the cars they sell here.
So the business model of keeping them cheap to attract value minded buyer's does not allow for any spec differences beyond what are required to meet UK legislation.
