Charged today using a rapid charger and it stopped charging at 87%, why is

What do you have the charging level set too in the charging settings in the info unit / phone App ?.
Not sure why you would want to charge to a higher percentage than this, rather than just unplugging and continuing on with your journey.
The wait time from 87% to 100% is going to be lengthy, as the charging speed from the rapid has throttled right back and equally you could be blocking off the charger to other users ?.

its not that i wnated to get to 100% but noticed it had stopped the charge which led me to realise the mileage was way off etc - hence realising i had the wrong car lol
also it wouldnt let me adjust antyhing in the app/info unit as that feature is only on the LR

Then in the second answer you appear to indicate you have the standard range, because :-

The 1st car was SR delivered by mistake then it got replaced with LR
