With Apple rolling out iOS 26.3 publicly mid-February, sharing this as a precaution to take with updating. Since installing the beta, CarPlay is completely broken for me.
  • So CarPlay completely stopped working entirely on my 2019 ZS EV since updating to iOS 26.3 beta — phone not detected at all via USB
  • iPhone 17 Pro Max, infotainment last updated at dealer ~October 2025
  • Tested multiple cables, rebooted, re-paired — no change
  • But most importantly: both my phone pre-updating and also my wife’s iPhone 15 Pro Max on iOS 26.2 CarPlay works fine with same cable and port
Could be an isolated issue, but if Apple starts releasing publicly the 26.3 update and it’s not just me I’ll need to start checking with my dealer if MG will fix the infotainment software.

That's why it's called 'Beta'.
Appreciate the response, but this is the Release Candidate — not an early beta. An RC is the final build Apple submits before public release, meaning this is what all users will receive mid-February. CarPlay issues have been well documented throughout the entire iOS 26 cycle across many car brands.

I kept my original post concise as this is a car forum, but to clarify:
  • The issue is confirmed iOS-related — same cable, same port, wife’s iPhone 15 Pro Max on iOS 26.2 works instantly
  • This RC beta is what will roll out publicly mid-February
Would be good to know if anyone else on the RC or latest beta has the same issue — hopefully it’s just me.

I have an iPhone 13 on 26.2.2 which works fine at the moment. Will let you know when it's upgraded to 26.3.
