Cars you’ve smoked ?

There is a short overtaking lane on the road home after work on a Friday night.
Having a little bit of pick up can be quite useful there after being behind someone who drives 10kph under the speed limit but suddenly speeds up when we get there. Sometimes they even move into the right lane, and I just use the BLAT function on their left.

Yes. Not to be used often but when it’s there sometimes it would be rude not to.

Model Y today… it was glorious

He was being all model Y like behind me (the new BMW driver and all that), obviously going to go for it at the earliest opportunity and factored me in as the first overtake. Sport mode on and ready. His moment came, couldn’t keep up bless him

Never gets boring, does it.
I've heard a few reviewers say, it gets boring after a while.

I do like that the XPower does not look fast, especially in white.
It adds to the satisfaction.

Reminds me of an old Bathurst story. Back in the Mazda Rx7 days teams needed to bed in their race motors. The guy I was talking to was involved in one of those team. They had an old beat up Rx3 they used for this purpose. Drop in a race motor and take it for a trip for a few hours. Drive it slow mostly but open the throttle every 15 to 20 min. He said it was fun to open it up at the right time. Up a hill when some wannabe was pushing from behind. Drop back a cog and almost smoke the tyres. Disappear into the distance.
The main worry was it only had standard brakes.

saw a review the other day and it said it's Ok for a while but then loses its appeal

That power will never lose its appeal mainly because it is always someone new to smoke.
You do get used to the power it has for sure so no surprises there.

But you so need to be careful with it, I did a bit of traffic lights grand prix last week, had an eager beaver in a Fiesta ST alongside my left and it is a notorious junction for left undercut and move right as that's where they wanna be.
Was only in Normal but was ready for full beans , as soon as lights went amber/red he moved and i reacted and floored it also but wondered if good idea after as there is a red light camera on that junction.
If I waited the 2 seconds to full Green he woulda prob nailed me.
Waiting for my 14 days to pass.

Hopefully i am Ok , he would of had me in as much as he could of been in my lane, undercut completed if i stood still those 2 extra seconds before takeoff .

Goes to show you have to watch for the red mist descending that over rides all judgement.
