ChargePlace Scotland New Operator

I see SWARCO have been appointed as the new operator for ChargePlace Scotland from July 2021. I wonder what this will mean for EV drivers in Scotland?

Good points - it seems the £20 annual fee is going to be scrapped, and a new app is on the way too. The promise of better fault reporting sounds good too.

I wonder if the charging policies at the charging points will change? I see more and more are now introducing charges currently anyway, either as a flat rate or a price per Kw.

I think the decision on charges rests with the local councils... I know Glasgow City Council have a debate and vote scheduled for the next few weeks on their plans for the future.
