Hello fellow EV owners,
I have put together a simple spreadsheet for calculating the energy lost while charging my MG ZS EV. The calculation is based on a distance of 244 km driven over a period of 5 days with multiple trips and charges. To my knowledge, no extensive studies have been made on charging loss of modern EVs.
I calculated an energy loss of about 20 %, which is about what I expected. I've made the calculator available here: Charging loss
I'm curious to know if other people experience about the same energy loss. Energy lost during charging is affected by 1001 different factors, and the calculator is extremely simple, but a ballpark estimate is better than nothing.
Best regards,
DanishDude
