I had my MG5 delivered on Wednesday and charged on a 50kw charger today but found it stopped at 95% is this normal?

From reading a lot on here it's recommended to charge to no more than 80% on a rapid charger. The charging rate will definitely slow the closer you get to 100%. It's possible that the battery management system may have kicked in to protect the battery.

With rapid chargers the batteries can get a bit warm when charging over 90 per cent and the car can throw a wobbly.

I was sat at an Osprey charger just after the new year. Started at 62 per cent. Got to 92 percent and there was an audible clunk under the bonnet and the car stopped charging and came up with the dreaded battery fault.

Had to wait for 5 to 10 minutes for the car to reset itself before I could drive off.

Had the same issue back in October on a BP rapid charger. Managed to get to 95 per cent before the car did the same thing.

Luckily I haven't had to reach for the 10mm spanner yet.

I do but charged on a free charger. I did note in the settings under battery section there is the option to have the battery heating set either on or off. It recommends to set to on for improved charging. Does everyone have battery heating switched on?
