I have now managed to hardwire my dashcam into the fuse box in the cabin. Eventually worked out how to get at the fuses by removing the bottom part of the dashboard, and after checking seemingly all of the fuses only to find them all permanently live, I came across a photo on another MG form with a picture showing the only switched fuse slots (3 of them, one was free) in the box (obviously the only one I hadn't checked when I gave up in frustration.).
I had a problem getting the cable up into the A pillar as its quite chunky as it has the USB plug wired in, but after trying 5 different routes with my optical camera I found one where with a bit of twisting it came through. The door seals are quite tricky as you have to rotate them as you refit as they go in between two flanges. Also the dashboard has a hidden screw behind the side panel (which is clipped in and held under the door seal).
Now if anyone knows how to pull down either the trim across the windscreen top of the interior light fixture I can finish the job properly by routing the wire internally across the windscreen top.
Here are the photos.

You can slowly yank the trim down across the windscreen. It won't be entirely out but you can fish the cable through. I did mine. Lucky I got a dash cam to record debris from the highway hit my car. Got this video as evidence. Going to claim the highway insurance.

Thanks, I'll give it a go. I have tried a bit and it was coming down slightly but still in the slot of the black cross piece where the roof locks in. but wasn't pulling too hard just in case there is a hidden screw somewhere like on the lower dash panel

No screws. If you want to remove it out entirely I think you need to remove the visor....buy I manage to just fish it out...... Where do you tap your VCC and your ACC+?.

I don't understand this? "Where you tap your VCC and your ACC+?."
Did you pull it away from the windscreen edge or the inside edge in the cabin. I couldn't find a way to get the cable from the A Pillar top inside the trim to the windscreen. If I could do that I could probably push the cable under the trim from the windscreen edge

VCC is the constant 12V and Acc is the accessory 12V to turn on the camera.
Orange line is how the cable is being routed. When only difficult part is to pull down the trim enough to pass through the wire from the outside trim to inside the windshield at the corner.

There is a gap here, right in front of the visor and few inches from the rear view mirror ....you can pull back the trim enough to slip in the cable.

Thank you for the photos, that is how I wanted to route my cable, but couldn't find the gap at the top of the A Pillar (Door Post) to get across to the gap by the Windscreen, My Cable Pull rods would not go through from the top corner, maybe I was too high up, I will try again a bit lower down.

Weird. The 3 switched fuses are F44-F46 according to manual.

F44 - 15A -Rear power socket
F45 - 5A - Right Headlamp Assembly, Left Headlamp Assembly, Headlamp Leveling Switch
F46 - empty

In your case, F44 is empty and F46 is fused. Can you check amperage on those fuses?
Also, F30 should be empty, you also have a fuse there.

Where did you get that picture, I couldn't find a fuse box picture anywhere, Your picture is different to the one I just saw on a video someone just posted on the MG4 forum, where the empty one which I have used is labelled as F46

Thanks for that, I didn't see those pages before when I checked the manual I had downloaded.
I love the fact that they have it pictured sideways and this sentence:

2 Remove the driver side knee trim panel to access the fuse box.

As if anyone should know how to do that, and how are you (or an AA Roadside Assistance person) supposed to change a fuse on the side of the road?

Since I intend to install a dashcam, once I receive my Cyberster, I just wonder, why you don't use the power from the ceiling lights. Are they permanently powered? In my current car, it's powered off about 5 min after closing the car. Pretty good for dashcam power. Placing a wire from the fuse box looks pretty complicated and I hope, I can avoid it.

I would also prefer that but the dash cam has a 5volt USB connector so you need a converter so that would need to go somewhere. I couldn’t work out how to remove the lights. I would love to do that to route the wire anyway so if anyone knows how to get the lights out please let me know. I tried with a plastic pry tool but they wouldn’t budge.

My Blackvue DR900S has a 12V power input. Thus, the Cable is really basic. I just cut the cigarette lighter cable and soldered it to 12V in the car. Since I really like the camera since it's small, great quality, HDR (not supported by current Blyckvue cameras) I'll continue using it in my Cyberster, when it finally arrives. Have to ask my dealer on how to remove the lights. Unfortunately, his will happen in October earliest.
