Cyberster Software Versions

Finally, it worked 🥳.
After the sixth attempt, a specialist from MG Europe managed it.
This guy had the latest software, as well as the latest equipment (tablet and wireless transmitter) to download and upload/install it 🖥️.
Now the version R34 software is finally installed, and I have to say, the sound has improved considerably 🎶🔊🎶.
The rear speakers are now audible, but not intrusive.
You're now more immersed in the sound because it's coming from all directions.
Everyone's happy again! 🤗

Yesss, finally.

What else is in the update besides the sound? I am curious.
A shortcut to mute the speed warning?
A function to switch screens?
The option to arrange the front display (speedometer)?
To put some useful information on the righthand screen?

Thanks for sharing your experience.

Congratulations!

I’m super jealous you managed to get the car updated (finally)
Thank you! They finally got it right. They worked incredibly hard at MG van Mossel (the MG dealer) and now also at MG Europe to fix it. The latest equipment was the deciding factor. This was also their first test with a Cyberster. All's well that ends well.

I'll investigate the update components you mentioned soon.
For me, the Bose soundsystem was the most urgently needed part of the update.
During the update, it's impossible to see what's being updated, so it's software-related.

Just a quick note: the equipment (tablet + wireless transmitter) comes directly from the SAIC factory in Shanghai.
It's important that the dealer knows this. The equipment is still in the testing phase there. For me, the test was successful.

Out of interest I thought I'd have a read through this thread, I have an Mg4 & played around with software etc
It seems poor that mg techs didn't see the low voltage message or even attempted updates without a 12v maintainer (charger)
Pretty basic stuff the car updates
Glad I do all my own updates etc

MG really need to sort themselves out as customers taking theirs cars in with issues and being told "don't know what I'm doing but I'll have a go, woops it keeps failing" isn't good

Found a Cyberster VIN
SAIC call it an EC32
Software list attached, just shows their 8 digit naming but if you have an obd reader you can compare
