Cyberster Software Versions

I also ordered this from MG Titan, but this set does not fit the Cyberster, these are made for the MG4. I gave them to my dealer to make someone else happy with them.
This company also advertises the glass windshield, this also does not fit the current model of the Cyberster. With a lot of effort I got it to fit, but the supplied parts can be thrown away. Many (cheap Chinese) sites offer articles for the Cyberster, but unfortunately, most are not suitable for it. So be careful.

I ordered the glass for my Cyberster from this store... Is it not compatible? It should arrive in a few weeks.

The changes are not immediately visible, but the dimensions and curves have changed so much that the delivered package no longer fits.

My advice: return it or also adjust the whole thing yourself. I was only able to use the whole glass, all other parts were worthless.

This morning I went back to my MG dealer to install the latest update. Unfortunately the mechanic can't do it because the system stops halfway through the update every time. They are now going to submit the problem to MG Europe and hope for better times. I have read the 'log files' of the system myself and saved them on a USB stick, maybe the scientists can still make chocolate of it. I will keep you informed.

Is there any way to see which version they were going to install? Why are there so many problems updating? I think when I took it to my dealership, they also gave me an error and didn't tell me anything.

The software currently installed is version SWI134-29176-1100R31, my request is to install version SWI134-29176-1100R32. With the hope that especially the Bose sound system does what it should do so a 7.1 system. But I doubt whether the problem is solved with that update. We'll wait and see.

This screenshot shows that the battery is low and communication to one of the ECUs failed, probably because the ECU was in a low power state and wasn’t responding quickly enough

Putting it on charge (the 12v) while programming would have probably fixed that

I ask because our software doesn't have the option, maybe yours does.

Hello all

I hoping to hear if anyone in UK has had their Cyberster system software updated to the R32 version?

I took delivery of a new MG Cyberster GT on 28May2025, the dealer had promised to ensure all software was updated to the latest versions during the Pre Delivery Inspection. They failed to action that promise.

The entertainment system version was R28 when I viewed the car on 24May and when I arrived at home on 28th May and remembered to check, it was still at R28.

This version does not have the auto brightness. I have negotiated with the dealer to update the software which will happen on 17th June. When I was negotiating the update, they stated that the latest version in UK was R31. Those negotiations were before 6th June (a date suggested on this forum that the R32 software will be available in UK).

If anyone can update with any useful information regarding software levels in UK, hopefully, I can push for the actual latest version rather than the level that the unreliable dealer’s service centre are potentially pushing on me.

R31 was what our car came with last October. I am not sure if R32 is only on cars in Europe which are Right Hand and shipped after the UK.
