Dealership refused update?

Hi. So I took my MG4 to a dealership today to get the latest software update (I'm now on R63) and whilst there I asked them if they could also update my cruise control software because I'm sick of the car slowing down like crazy around the slightest bend... they refused to do it tho saying they can't update that unless it's been flagged by MG How do I get the cruise control update?

To get MG onside, you need to start with words like "My car has a fault".

I thought the ACC update was part of a Service Campaign update, so should have been applied at an .. erm .. service.

Does the ACC speed update in 1mph steps on a short toggle of the left steering wheel button?

Yes ... tap for 1mph changes, hold (for about a second) for 5 mph changes. i.e. the reverse of what it was originally.

The other key impact of the update is that a bend now has to be much tighter before ACC starts scrubbing off speed, so no more slowing down on gentle, sweeping bends.
