I put it in ECO drive mode with (A) regeneration and the 1st (lowest) bar on distance and find it follows the vehicle in front fairly well without being too jittery + can always use the accelerator to override if you think it's not keeping up sufficiently / want to prevent other opportunists from cutting-in.
