Door chime sound disappeared

Hi, I have an odd issue where my car no longer makes the chime sound when I open the door.

Anyone got any ideas on this please?

Haha yeah I thought a few people would say that. I kind of liked it to be honest and just thought it's strange it's stopped

Yeah I've only had the car a week and I'm sure it did it for the first couple of days and not since

I can't find anything in the menus that seems to control it

I don't know actually, mine is a trophy though. I'm sure it did it at first and in all the reviews I watched it made the sound as the door was opened.

Mine chimes too, I wonder if it’s linked to the system sound volume level, the one that also adjusts the indicators

Not sure. My indicators are set on approximately 30 percent volume

I know I’ve read another thread somewhere that suggests you can reduce the chime volume, but not remove it completely. My very new ER certainly makes the noise but it is one of those things I haven’t yet investigated personally.

You could try a head unit reset , hold home button until it restarts. Or a factory reset .
