On all my previous car double pressing locks the door and then turns off the alarm. Useful if you're leaving a dog in the car.

My old Prius used to put a message on the display when I turned off the car asking if I wanted to turn off the interior motion sensors.
Double locking was achieved by touching the door handle twice.
