Just got my car back from service in Singapore and here is the updated software:

Oh no, don't charge it up and pay if you can help it lol.

Look at my varying figures:
View attachment 2858
I cannot spot any reason why it doesn't always charge to the exact same voltage and/or SOC, recently I'm capturing a bit more data when I can of start/end charge time and balance - to try to figure it out.
I need to get all 9 cell voltages I think maybe to figure it out.
I am also curious why mine always stop balancing when the cell difference is 0.11 even with new BMS. Max Volt is 4.175 and Min Volt is 4.065.

I've exported it as an excel xlsx.
I'll do this every time I update it so it's in both formats :)

Excel corrupts the data! it assumes anything with an "E" in the number is a scientific notation rather than just an alpha/numeric part number, for example it displays the EVCC sw part number as 1.77E+09

The solution we have right now is to not talk to the BCM (Body Controller) as any messages to it will set off the alarm on UK/EU spec cars. Thai cars are a lot less fussy.

We are testing authentication methods but so far we have had no luck.
None of my Torque Pro PIDs talk to the BCM (740) and the alarm still goes off.

for example it displays the EVCC sw part number as 1.77E+09
I noticed that too, but it's actually not corruption (at least when I use OpenOffice). I find that if I widen the column (drag the right edge in the heading), it displays properly.

It does treat any string of numeric digits as a number, hence it thinks that using scientific notation is a valid way of squeezing the number into a standard sized column.

What does it display when you widen the column? if its 7.00E+03 then its wrong, this translates to 7000 which is also wrong. It must be 7E3 as text.
It also corrupts it if you save it direct from your spreadsheet to a CSV file, because Excel converts it back to a number (7E3 is converted to 7000) which will not work. The cell with 7E3 in it has to be converted to a text cell first before saving as a CSV file to avoid any corruption.

Mine says 1.77E+009, or e.g. 1770124111 (or 1770099611) when the width is expanded slightly.

We might be talking about different things, as mine doesn't show 7E3 anywhere.

Ok, here's mine after booking it in specifically for a BMS update due to a breakdown (high voltage isolatation, would not boot after full charge) when we were away from home. It looks like they updated the infotainment system and did nothing with the BMS! Car purchased Feb 2021. Am I being dim or is this a literal example of bad service from an MG dealer?

Although the MG 020 software update for the head unit should be welcomed, I very much doubt this caused your issue on holiday that’s for sure !.
What did they do to rectify THAT fault condition ?.
Head unit software update, simple to apply, hard to get wrong.
BMS update, different story.
Get it right and your clipping your heals all the way down the workshop, get it wrong and your in a whole different world of pain !.
Ask them what they did to resolve the original problem ( when on holiday ) and then WHY they did not carry out your request for a BMS update, after booking in the car directly for this work to be carried out ?.
Senior EV Tech on holiday maybe 🤔.
Push it back for another day ?.

Hi all,

Not too sure how best to contribute to the spreadsheet, but we received our new MG ZS EV Essence (Australian) a week ago. Here is an OVMS dump of software versions:

Code:
EPS ZsrdV084Rs
ATC REL_DC_BEV_D036
EPB S001
ABS 1019000000
TC F01R0A7391
VCU F01R0AJ385
ICE S160630.01
DCDC F01R0A7392
IPK S200425-09
GWM 0074011020
PEPS ZS11SW01
RDRA 00000SW026
BCM 2210 4176
SRM ZS11.E1.02
EVCC V104B01D00
SCU 194136858 C0813
BMS 0128622A00
PLC 1770124111
TPMS QY1105A813

I assume these are the latest for an Australian model...?

Yes. Or at least these are the same as the ones I received about 6 months ago. I think that means you don't have the better infotainment system firmware. Maybe there isn't an Australianised version of that as yet.

It took me a while to compare them, as OVMS lists the modules in a different order, and has some modules differently named. I claim one is wrongly named. Also, three modules are missing. With the patched version of the unofficial Thai app, there are 22 firmware versions (plus NO DATA for the TBOX module).

Edit: my post with my before and after versions : Project OBD2 - Mobile App v1.2.1
