Hi,

Just picked up a new EV4 having traded in our Long Range Trophy for a Long Range Premium - overall very happy with the car, the interior feels a big upgrade and I am hoping the fsoftware will be too. However, the dealer handover was basically non existent but I have managed to work most things out myself, but I can't seem to find any YouTube videos of anyone setting up the new software so not sure if I am missing some useful tips/ settings. Has anyone managed to see one if so could you share a link?

The things I can't figure out are

1) Cannot see how to changing the charging limit from within the car (although can do using the app)
2) Configuration options for the driver screen, is it just one tile you can can customise?
3) Best way to connect a phone - are people using Carplay or the MG Bluetooth connection - I suspect it is one or the other - I did use Apple Carplay but it did not automatically connect the second time.

All hints and tips welcome.

Thank you.

Last night I set the charging limit on the app (as I wasn't able to adjust on car) to 80% but this morning it has charged to 100%? Surely there should nbe a awy to set charging limit?

The Long Range has an LFP battery and needs a regular 100% charge. I have no idea why ismart gives you the option to set the target charge to below 100% as it simply does not work. The way around this is to work out how many Kws you want to put into the car and set the timer on your EV charger accordingly. I think you can set the timer in the car as well but I have never tried it.

Ah..I have been googling since your message to find out more and it does seem that it shoudl be charged to 100% - would have been noce for the dealer to have told me. Thank you!

Huh? It could be an advice. But it should not be mandatory. The slider isn't there for nothing. Particularly when DC charging....
