Front number plate holder

Just a quick question guys, have you got the same front number plate holder like mine in the photo ? It has 4 anchor points on it ( I assume for Chinese style square plates. I would have thought they would have been changed for uk use and wondered if anyone else has them or indeed if they have been replaced.

Why do you have your postcode on your reg plate - isn't that a security risk?

I think they may have forgotten to swap the mounting plate over on the pdi, I’ll have to see if I can find one ( forgot to delete the postcode - doo)

I can confirm that mine is like the second pic posted. You cannot see those anchor points.

Cheers Nik, I guess they forgot to swap it during the PDI, problem is that I purchased it from Leeds and I don’t really want to have to go all the way up there to get it changed. I might ask the local dealer but he might not want to be that helpful as the car wasn’t purchased from him !

Hopefully they'll be helpful. Don't see why not. They can just order one for you.
Might be able to fit it yaself, if the holder is only screwed on. Relatively simple job. If it's secured from the back, could get quite expensive, as it's probably a bumper of job. Good luck.

Let hope they are accommodation Salty - if not I might try to pick up a blanking plate to fit over the top.
I’ll send a message to the supplier of the car in Leeds, maybe they will just post me one down ( if it just screws on from the front)

So, just to close this one off, the dealer that supplied my car tells me the plate holder is just screwed in ( from the front), they are going to post one down to me ( saving a long trip to Leeds), you can’t really ask for more, I can fit it myself in a couple of minutes.
