As an electrician, its 99.99% chance it’s caused by a loose wire or loose contacts in the socket, it’s the most common electrical fault. The granny charger is meant for occasional use otherwise as with any other fixed load over 2kw in a domestic house, it would be connected via a double pole switch on its own circuit and not plugged in. A 7kw charger is the way to go .
