Great day out with your MG? Post up a picture ?

If I'm going on a long journey I use Wattsup. It displays a route with all the chargers and details. It will also show you a list of those chargers and distances from the start point.

I don't know what route you took but Banbury Instavolt has 32 chargers there just off the M40. Currently 28 available. But they are expensive.

Is Wattsup an Apple thing?

I can't find it on Play Store.

That feeling when you find a much needed charger…

Taumarunui, King Country, New Zealand, after dozens of miles of single lane gravel roads (Google ‘shortcut’).

O humble post beside the busy rural street,
A beacon where the long road finds its rest,
No neon glare—just steady, patient heat,
A silent promise: “Here, recharge. Be blessed.”

Through winding hills and stretches thin and wide,
Past farms and fields where phone signals fade,
You stand—a guide no map can quite provide,
A harbour at the closing of the day.

The motor hums no more; the cable clicks,
A gentle flow returns what miles have spent,
And in that pause, the weary driver picks
A moment’s peace, by simple current lent.

No grand design, no towering display—
Yet joy resides in finding you this way.

I'm quite tech-savyy, but unsure about this...

Do you mean it doesn't work when you plug it in?
Sorry but I'm not sure exactly what you're asking. Plug what in? 🤷‍♂️

In terms of Android Auto .. your phone can have lots of apps on it, but not all of them can be shown on the car screen. (i.e. not supporting Android Auto). Those apps will still work on the phone screen - you just won't see them mirrored on the car screen.

That's what I meant, sorry. It won't work in the sense of AA, when you plug the phone in.

Charged there on the way back from Woking. Costa had just closed, Hotel Chocolat was closed too, so we went to the Premier Inn to have a drink and nip to the loo.

The flying visit to Woking started with Mrs S's usual Saturday morning visit to the gym in Bollington. This is the latest in the series of "What I can see as a passenger."

Sugar Lane in Bollington.

We left "Bolly" bound for Ottershaw near Woking. Satnav took us down the Silk Road, through Macc and towards Leek, then right at Rudyard, winding through the lanes into Brown Edge, then Hanley, then onto the D road, where we joined our old friend the M6.

Odd choice! Today, the route is Bolly, Macc, Congleton, Sandbach, and jump on the 6 at J17.

Talking of D road, we got to J15 and this is what the satnav looked like.

When we were clearly going South!
Bit of a Google Maps booboo...

This made me laugh. Normally I'm quick to spot stuff like this, but Mrs S beat me to it this time. Kudos. A Halfords immobile expert!

Went for a walk here a couple of times. Hare Hill, a smallish wooded area with a pond, surrounded by housing. As far as I could see, it wasn't hilly. Dunno about the hares, though (I know there's a road called Hare Hill next to the wood).

The pond in the wood. The sign says deep water. I don't think the pond got the memo.

Went for Sunday lunch at The Cricketers, overlooking Horsell Common. Didn't spot any spaceships though.

Stopped to top up screen wash before joining the M25. This (I had to check) is the 2026 Honda Prelude. Apart from the fact that they've nicked Smurf Blue® from MG 😁, and there's no headroom in the rear, it looks smart. I'd have got a better shot, but there was someone telling me I couldn't take pictures...

WattsUp is excellent, all you need really to find multiple hubs in an area on your journey. For some reason it doesn't come up in Play Store search but does on a Google search

as per @siteguru post.

Cracked it.

It's pretty pointless, unless you know who developed the app, but if you go to the Play Store and search "WattsUp Sanctus Media", then it finds it straight away.
