I don't know what route you took but Banbury Instavolt has 32 chargers there just off the M40.
Charged there on the way back from Woking. Costa had just closed, Hotel Chocolat was closed too, so we went to the Premier Inn to have a drink and nip to the loo.
The flying visit to Woking started with Mrs S's usual Saturday morning visit to the gym in Bollington. This is the latest in the series of "What I can see as a passenger."
Sugar Lane in Bollington.
We left "Bolly" bound for Ottershaw near Woking. Satnav took us down the Silk Road, through Macc and towards Leek, then right at Rudyard, winding through the lanes into Brown Edge, then Hanley, then onto the D road, where we joined our old friend the M6.
Odd choice! Today, the route is Bolly, Macc, Congleton, Sandbach, and jump on the 6 at J17.
Talking of D road, we got to J15 and this is what the satnav looked like.
When we were clearly going South!
Bit of a Google Maps booboo...
This made me laugh. Normally I'm quick to spot stuff like this, but Mrs S beat me to it this time. Kudos. A Halfords immobile expert!
Went for a walk here a couple of times. Hare Hill, a smallish wooded area with a pond, surrounded by housing. As far as I could see, it wasn't hilly. Dunno about the hares, though (I know there's a road called Hare Hill next to the wood).
The pond in the wood. The sign says deep water. I don't think the pond got the memo.
Went for Sunday lunch at The Cricketers, overlooking Horsell Common. Didn't spot any spaceships though.
Stopped to top up screen wash before joining the M25. This (I had to check) is the 2026 Honda Prelude. Apart from the fact that they've nicked Smurf Blue® from MG

, and there's no headroom in the rear, it looks smart. I'd have got a better shot, but there was someone telling me I couldn't take pictures...
