MG4 (2022-2025)
Did a 150 mile round trip on Friday. Mostly motorway, temperature 4 or 5 centigrade, heater on. I didn't go above 60mph.
The car went from 95% to 14%, leaving me with 25 miles range.
Did the same trip 2 weeks earlier, same temperature, but I did 70mph. I needed a top up to get home.
I hhink that's good for a 4 year old MG4. It also shows the big effect on range slowing down a bit makes.

But yes - speed is a big factor in overall efficiency, as drag change is proportional to the square of the speed change. (e.g. double your speed and the drag will be 4x higher).

You're right of course, 3½ not 4. I was never good at maths.
 
This is also more apperent with MG4, as it has pretty weak aero. So you get penalized more when driving faster, than other, more aero friendly cars.

But if you eliminate aero (or reduce it effect a lot) by doing the hypermile behind the lorry type driving, car gets very efficient, especially with proper LRR tires.

Yes its disappointing that the MG4 looks like it would be aerodynamic but doesn't perform any better than rivals and in many cases seems to be worse. Same drag as the MGS5.

The Kia EV3, Skoda Enyaq and Cupra Tavascan are lower drag coefficient despite being SUVs.
 
That's surprising that the EV3 has a better drag coefficient than the MG4 (0.26-0.267 versus 0.27-0.287) as the EV3 looks so bluff at the front.

I did a 100 mile round trip to my daughters the other week, heater on 21 degrees, heated seat on some of the time, a mixture of 30, 40, 50 & national limits (all A roads), averaged 40mph over the trip with the occasional 'blast' in sport mode, from 100% got back with 42% which I was pretty pleased with.
