I have been driving the MGS5 EV lux long range for a week now. I love driving the car. And it's a fun car to drive too. Very good handling and brakes. Nice comfort. Spacious, with a good view of the traffic situation. There isn't a lot of unnecessary numbers everywhere on the display. User-friendly, simple, and straightforward.
For me, there is enough power in normal mode. Good acceleration to get up to speed, and during overtaking. I actually get pushed back in the seat going uphill! The power may possibly vary with factors related to the battery and stored energy. Perhaps also external factors.
It nicely suppresses speed bumps in 30-40 km/h.
On poor and bumpy roads, it dampens nicely only at very low speed. I think this is normal.
The sound from the speakers is like mediocre. It's fine for just listening to the radio and play some music.
If you want your favorite custom settings, every time from power off, there will be a few touches on the screen. It would have been nice if it was possible to set/store your custom settings to a default, and just drive right away.
I have tried a Nissan Ariya with 2WD. I liked the MGS5 lux long range better! In addition, I tried some older used cars. The closest I can compare it to was a Volvo V60, which was also quite agile and fast, with good handling and brakes. It did not have the same acceleration as the MGS5 EV with 0-100 in 6.3 seconds.
I guess driver assistance systems are designed for good roads. Well-marked roads. In my county we don't have much of that in the countryside, and inside the fjords. All that crap I turn off. I guess worse for those who have other car brands that cannot turn it off!
In Norway, the MGS5 EV Lux Long Range costs NOK 358,800 + possible domestic shipping costs. This can amount to NOK 10,000. After August 31, the car will be more expensive in Norway!
I recommend MGS5 EV Lux Long Range. It crushes competitors in the same price range. I think so. It is okay to have other opinions too.
Regards,
