Headlight adjustments

Has anyone adjusted their headlights on a MG4, the projection is poor and I want to increase the beam range. Tried contacting my dealer three times by phone and twice by email, still waiting for a response. I am questioning the adjustment available at the headlight not the rocker switch on the dash.

My dipped beams shine nicely on the motorway at 5am before dawn in December and I could clearly see the road surface for at least 2 metres ahead. Under the bonnet there's little adjusters behind head front light but turning them made only 1 cms change in height of the dipped beams on the garage...

Some of us have manually adjusted under the bonnet.

They are easily adjusted and it makes a huge difference.

Hi I need to adjust my selr as they are not good at all it’s going in to dealers early January.I have found the adjuster on back of the lights.but can any one tell me which way to turn to get them higher clockwise or anti-clockwise thanks

You shouldn't adjust them unless you are pointing at a flat wall and can see the adjustments you are making. You'll easily be able to determine which direction moved the lights up and down. You need something to compare to, or to measure properly (there's a Halfords article that tells you how to adjust them properly), otherwise you risk putting them too high and blinding other drivers.

I agree. I am sure it is tempting to just manually adjust them but you could end up dangerously dazzling oncoming traffic.

Either get your dealer to do it or someone with experience like a local MOT shop.
