I think you missed the sarcasm. The diesel doesn't catch fire argument is one used by the EV haters to explain how a diesel ICE fire is really an EV that went up in smoke.

The battery electric ones are manufactured by BYD-ADL.

It seems that diesel needs something to absorb it, like wiring insulation. Makes little sense to me.
There are also diesel heaters, but they have an electric compressor inside.
