I have seen it in the user manual. It’s only a small battery not like my ZS @ 51kWh.

It can be utilised but you need an adapter to plug into the Type 2 charge socket. I have never tried it though.

My dealer suspects the V2L on the HS was a 'wish' by MG that hasn't actually made it through to production (or was just for a very early batch) as he doesn't know anyone that's made it work. Price for a V2L lead from MG was £280 so I didn't fancy lashing out that much to test it.

That is odd as MG state from their UK website :

"The MG HS Plug-in Hybrid also makes life better when you reach your destination. With our Vehicle to Load (V2L) technology, you can power up other appliances away from home. Whether it’s your electric bike, your airbed or your laptop, just plug in with the optional cable** and control the supply through your cabin’s virtual display"

The asterisks refer to this : Adapter available at extra cost. Speak to your nearest dealer.

Yes thank you, the original was dated September 2024 and the updated one Febuary 2025 my car was registered December 2024 so does the Sept 2024 apply to my Vehicle ?

There was a bulletin for dealers within a week of the first HS PHEV's arriving with dealers stating that there was a change in specification and none of them will have V2L, it could change in future model year changes but as it stands none of them have it

If you go to the MG Website and download the brochure, it has been updated and only shows the FEB 2025 brochure

click home, swipe left to get the individual apps. Click the battery app, V2L is visible next to charging
