Help! Charging cable stuck in MG5 EV

Genie point press and reset the estop 5 times in a row reboots the charger and resets the connection to the car. That freed me from our local one at morrisons when it trapped me. Told to do that by support when called.

I've had one of these in my pocket (no, I'm not pleased to see you) for the past twenty something years. Incredibly useful. Mostly for the pliers, then scissors, screwdriver, knives, saw, file, and can opener, more or less in that order.

Leatherman Wave®+ Multi-Tool - Stainless Steel
really useful things to have! (typically right until they're found by TSA and confiscated)
(cheaper smaller clones of the multi tool are better, less bothersome when taken and do the job)

Nearly got caught out like that once but I just popped it into checked in baggage.

I've not yet found a clone that is as good. Leatherman offer (and, I understand) honour a 25 year warranty.

cheap and nasty wanna be leathermans cost a few quid, they're crap but less troublesome when lost or broken (YMMV)

Haven't seen an emergency stop on a charger for a while...

My last run down from visiting the grandkids, I came across this on a VW, dual Gridserve and he couldn't remove the plug... he had to call support in the the end and they promptly re-booted the charger, stopping my charge as well... luckily i'd arrived back at the car by this point, but nobody from support thought to contact me to tell me they were going to do it... and they took another holding charge when I restarted the charge... i've been in touch to tell them how unimpressed I was...

I've had a Leatherman Charge TTi replaced foc when I broke the tip off the pliers. I used to go the cheap route but I reckon I spent more replacing broken or lost ones. When you spend a small fortune on a tool you take a lot more care of it. eg. I've never lost a Leatherman lol.
That said I'd hate to have to pay today's price for a Charge TTi, mine was considerably less money.

Oh... darn the thread resurrection!!
